How long is my application on file?
All applications are kept on file for three months. If you have not been contacted for a job within a three month period, you will need to reapply.
I applied for a CNA position online, what do I do next?
In order to be considered for a CNA position, you must come to the Human Resources Department located on the lower level of the hospital to complete a CNA test and skills checklist. You do not need an appointment. The test is available between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
How do I know if I am being considered for a position?
All applications are reviewed on the day they are received and forwarded to the appropriate department. If you are being considered for a position, you will receive a call from a recruiter. If you have not received a call within three months of applying for a position, then you will need to reapply.
How do I check the status of my application?
Due to the high volume of applications received, the Human Resources Department is unable to verify status on individual applications. All applications are reviewed on the day they are received and forwarded to the appropriate department. If you are being considered then you will receive a call from a recruiter to schedule an interview.
Can I apply for more than one position at a time?
Yes. You should indicate this on your application in the “Position Applied For” field.
Do I have to be a certified to apply for a patient care technician PCT or CNA position?
You do have to be in the Illinois Registry to work at Memorial Care Center and the Home Care Department. To work in the main hospital, you must attend and complete a Patient Care Technician/Nursing Assistant course and/or have six months to one-year of experience as a Patient Care Technician/Nursing Assistant.
