CT scan
Memorial Hospital can screen patients for lung cancer using computerized tomography (CT) scans. This test is painless and takes approximately 10 minutes.

Low-dose spiral CT scans are emerging as one of the most promising tools in the early detection of lung cancer. Research shows the five-year survival rate for lung cancer, when detected early, is 85-100%.

A physician referral is not necessary for a lung cancer CT scan, but it is recommended. For more information, call (618) 257-5676.
