In 2009, we expanded and renovated the Emergency Department to better serve patients. It now boasts the latest technology, 28% more space, and 34 private treatment rooms.

The Emergency Department is an Accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI by the Society of Chest Pain Centers. Additionally, we’re one of Southwestern Illinois Emergency Medical Service (EMS) Resource Hospitals and the Regional Hospital Coordination Center; in the event of a disaster, area EMS departments will count on Memorial to help out.
