Memorial Selects Nursing Excellence Award Winners
Memorial Hospital recently honored 10 of its nursing professionals for exemplifying the goals of nursing service at Memorial with its first annual Nursing Excellence Awards. The winners were nominated by their peers and confirmed for the award by nursing managers and directors.
Winners were selected based on the following criteria – promoting and advancing the nursing profession, integrity, respectability and ethical standards, pursuit of opportunities benefiting patients, families and colleagues, solid communication skills, ability to act as a mentor to colleagues and advocates for patients and families, and making a positive difference in the workplace.
The nursing professionals honored offer a vast range of experience – from two years to over 35 years as well as represent the array of nursing opportunities available at Memorial.
“These professionals illustrate that no two nurses are the same – yet each one shares a strong passion for nursing excellence,” said Nancy Weston, RN, vice president of nursing services at Memorial. “Join me in congratulating each of these winners for exhibiting characteristics of nursing excellence.”
