St. Clair County H1N1 Pandemic Emergency Response Team
Receives Award

(BELLEVILLE, IL)  The St. Clair County H1N1 Pandemic Emergency Response Team was awarded the 2010 Illinois Public Health Department Director’s Recognition Award for exemplary services provided in response to the H1N1 Pandemic. Memorial Hospital, along with other health agencies in the area, is a member of the H1N1 Pandemic Emergency Response Team.

“It is an honor to receive an award that recognizes our commitment to providing  support in the planning, coordinating and response to a state and national health emergency,” said Don Schneider, Director of Safety and Security at Memorial.

Each year the Illinois Department of Public Health awards individuals, volunteers, local health departments and other health care partners for contributions in the field of emergency preparedness. In addition to the Director’s Award, IDPH awards include the Local Leadership Award, Volunteer of the Year Award, Creative Drill/Exercise Award and the Faith-based Community Award.
