Nancy Weston Named as Finalist for
St. Louis Magazine’s Excellence in Nursing Awards

(Belleville, Illinois) Nancy Weston, RN, MSN, MBA, vice president of nursing services at Memorial Hospital was named as a finalist in St. Louis Magazine’s inaugural Excellence in Nursing awards. Her nomination is a testament to the dedication and compassion she has shown to patients and the guidance she has shown to the staff at Memorial.

Weston was nominated in the Leadership Category, one of 16 different areas that local nursing professionals were honored. The Excellence in Nursing awards were presented to 67 finalists in categories including Cardiovascular; Educator; Emergency Medicine; General Practice; Hospice; Home Health & Palliative Care; Intensive Care; Internal Medicine; Leadership; Long-Term Care; Neurology; Oncology; Orthopedics; Pediatrics; School; Surgery; and Women’s Health.

St. Louis Magazine received 166 nominations for the contest. Those nominations were evaluated by the selection committee that included: Jeanne M. Floyd, Executive Director of the American Nurses Credentialing Center; Anne G. Heine,  Clinical Instructor at the University of Missouri-Columbia’s Sinclair School of Nursing; Jill Kliethermes, CEO of the Missouri Nurses Association; and Diane Twedell, Nurse Administrator of Education and Professional Development at the Mayo Clinic.
