MEMORIAL HOSPITAL EARNS RE-ACCREDITATION
Belleville, Illinois – Memorial Hospital has been re-accredited for three years by the Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program (HFAP) – an organization devoted to maintaining the highest standards in patient care and compliance with changing governmental regulations.
“Our re-accreditation illustrates Memorial’s commitment to providing high- quality healthcare services to area residents,” said Mark J. Turner, Memorial’s president and CEO. “Memorial’s employees, Medical Staff and volunteers all played an integral role in helping Memorial achieve this re-accreditation and I am very appreciative of their efforts.”
The Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program has been providing medical facilities with an objective review of their services for over 50 years. The program is recognized nationally by the federal government, state governments, insurance carriers and managed care organizations. Accreditation by HFAP also ensures Memorial’s compliance with the Medicare Conditions of Participation for Hospitals as published by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
